Two panels, one clean meeting point — French doors done properly
French and double doors are the hardest mosquito-net opening to get right: two independently operable panels have to meet in the centre, seal tightly, and open smoothly from either side without one panel dragging on the other. Kushal Kraft custom-engineers each French door net as a matched pair, not two mismatched single-door nets bolted next to each other.
The engineering challenge unique to French doors
A single hinged or sliding door only has one edge that needs to seal — against the frame. A French door has two independent panels that both need to seal against the frame on their outer edges, and against each other at the centre, where there is no fixed frame member to anchor a net onto. This centre-meeting-point is where most generic mosquito net kits fail: the two mesh edges either overlap awkwardly, leave a gap mosquitoes exploit, or snag on hardware every time someone opens the door.
We solve this with a proper centre-astragal strip and matching magnetic or hook-and-loop closures on both panels, so the two mesh leaves meet flush regardless of which panel is opened first. Each panel also gets its own handle, sized and positioned to match your existing door hardware, so both leaves remain fully operable — you're not stuck opening only one side because the other has become the "fixed" net panel.
Because French doors are often a home's widest and most-used opening onto a garden, balcony, or verandah, we also pay attention to how the net looks when both panels are folded fully open — clean stacking against the frame, no mesh bunching or visible sag, so the opening still looks good even with the nets pulled back.
What's engineered into every French door net
Centre astragal seal
A dedicated centre strip ensures both panels meet flush with no gap.
Matched hardware
Handles and closures on both panels styled to match your existing door fittings.
Both panels operable
Open either leaf independently — no single "fixed" side.
Clean fold-back
Both panels stack neatly against the frame with no bunching when open.
French door nets vs a generic single-door net stretched across two leaves
| Aspect | Generic single-door net (misapplied) | Kushal Kraft French door system |
|---|---|---|
| Centre seal | Gap or overlap where two panels meet | Dedicated astragal strip, flush seal |
| Panel operation | Often only one panel usable, other fixed shut | Both panels fully operable independently |
| Hardware match | Mismatched or generic handles | Handles matched to your existing door style |
| Fold-back appearance | Mesh sags or bunches when open | Clean stacking, no visible sag |
| Fitting approach | One-size mesh trimmed on-site | Measured and fabricated as a matched pair |

Why choose Kushal Kraft
French doors are one of the trickiest mosquito-net jobs precisely because the centre meeting point has no frame to lean on — get it wrong and you have a permanent gap right where two panels meet. Our fitters measure and fabricate both panels as a single matched job, so the centre seal, hardware, and fold-back all line up. This is a level of fitting precision that generic single-door net installers in Ranchi often skip.
