Industrial fabrication is judged by a different standard than most other metalwork. A machine base plate that flexes under vibration will loosen bolted connections over time and throw the equipment out of alignment. A conveyor frame that is even slightly out of level will cause material to drift or jam. A platform that was welded without accounting for dynamic load will develop fatigue cracks well before a static structure would. We approach every industrial job with that in mind - identifying whether a component sees static or dynamic load, choosing section thickness accordingly, and building in the stiffening ribs or cross-bracing that vibration-heavy equipment needs but a static shelf frame does not.
Because industrial clients usually cannot afford long downtime, we also plan fabrication and installation around plant schedules where possible - pre-fabricating as much as we can in our Pandra workshop so that on-site work, which is the part that actually interrupts operations, is kept as short as possible.
