A door-sized pleated panel is too heavy, too tall, and mounted the wrong way for a window frame - which is exactly why we built a dedicated pleated mosquito net window system, sized and tracked for casement, sliding, and fixed window openings.
Unlike a full-height door panel, our window version uses a lighter aluminium frame, a sill-mounted bottom track instead of a floor track, and a shorter fold-stack that tucks neatly to one side of the window without adding bulk to the opening.
The result is a screen that opens and closes with one hand, folds flat like a fan when not in use, and holds a fine fibreglass mesh that keeps out mosquitoes, houseflies, and dust while letting the breeze through.
