Balcony Invisible Grill Installation in Ranchi
Keep your balcony open and unblocked while making it completely safe for children, elderly family members and pets. Our SS304 wire rope balcony grills are the top choice for apartments across Ranchi's Ratu Road, Kanke Road and Harmu localities.
Why Balconies Need a Dedicated Grill Solution
A balcony is a different safety problem from a window. It is an open-floor space that people actually stand, sit and walk on, often with furniture, plants or a drying line - which means the barrier has to handle sustained leaning pressure over the full height of the railing, not just an occasional bump. Many older buildings in Ranchi have railings only 2.5 to 3 feet high, well below the comfort margin for a child or a distracted adult. Our balcony invisible grill system adds a full-height wire rope barrier above the existing railing (or from floor to a safe height where there is no railing at all) so the balcony becomes safe without losing its open, airy feel.
We size the wire spacing based on how the balcony is used. For balconies used mainly by adults - drying clothes, keeping plants, morning tea - a 4 to 4.5 inch gap between wires is standard and looks nearly invisible from indoors. Where children or pets use the balcony regularly, we tighten the spacing (see our dedicated Child Safety Grill page for the exact standard we follow) so a small child cannot slip a limb or head through.
Our Balcony Grill Installation Timeline
Day 0 - Site Visit
We measure balcony width, height, corner returns and check whether the parapet/railing is solid enough to anchor into, or whether we need separate anchor posts.
Day 0-1 - Quote & Wire Plan
You get a written quote covering wire count, spacing, anchor type (wall-drilled or post-mounted) and total running length.
Day 1-2 - Material Prep
SS304 (or SS316 for balconies facing open weather/monsoon exposure) wire rope, brass eye-bolts and turnbuckles are cut and prepped to the exact balcony dimensions.
Day 2 - Installation
Anchor points are drilled into the railing or wall, wires threaded end-to-end, and each wire individually tensioned with a turnbuckle for a taut, rattle-free finish.
Day 2 - Final Check
We pull-test every wire, verify uniform spacing top to bottom, and walk you through basic care before handing over the warranty card.
Corner and L-Shaped Balconies
Many Ranchi apartments have L-shaped or wraparound balconies with an open corner - this is the trickiest part of any balcony grill job because the wires have to change direction without leaving a gap. We use a dedicated corner post anchored into the slab so the wire run continues seamlessly around the bend instead of stopping short and leaving an unguarded corner, which is one of the most common mistakes in a poorly done DIY or budget installation.
Balconies With Low or No Railing
Where the existing railing is too low, damaged, or the balcony has no railing at all (common in older independent houses), we install full-height wire rope from floor-fixed anchor posts up to a safe 42-46 inch height, effectively creating a new safety barrier rather than just supplementing an existing one.
