Sliding gates need a different kind of automation than swing gates
A sliding gate carries its full weight on wheels running along a ground track or an overhead rail, and it moves horizontally rather than pivoting on hinges. That changes what the motor has to do: instead of pushing a leaf outward, a sliding gate motor drives a rack-and-pinion or chain along the gate's length, which means track alignment and wheel condition matter just as much as the motor itself.
